Good to know.
Shape, construction and the small print.
Overview
The Hybrid line bridges the gap between a traditional shortboard and a soft-top. Inside is a real fiberglass surfboard, topped with a textured EVA foam deck. You get the drive, response, and control of a traditional board with the comfort and forgiveness of a soft-top.
Real surfboard construction. The Hybrid starts with an EPS core, a carbon fiber stringer running nearly tip to tip, and fiberglass construction on both the top and bottom. Reinforced rails add durability, while the textured EVA foam deck sits over the glassed board to provide a softer riding surface.
A shape built for performance. A more performance-driven outline and lower volume than our classic softboards deliver a more responsive feel through turns and overall performance. Still forgiving enough to keep things fun, but built to be ridden harder.
More drive. More control. The stiff, reinforced fiberglass bottom delivers drive and projection through turns, giving surfers the response they need to push their surfing further.
Futures fin system. Reinforced Futures fin boxes let you fine-tune your setup with quality fins that suit your style and the conditions.
Designed and tested by surfers. Refined through multiple rounds of testing with Jamie and the team before reaching production.
Real surfboard performance. Soft-top fun.
